This role will focus on developing new clients, building brand awareness in the industry, and will leverage both partnerships and their existing client relationships to grow the CMMC business. This role will also have a voice in developing the strategic plan and go-to-market strategy to expand market share within the Defense Industrial Base.Location DetailsThis is a full time, remote position (must be located in the United States).Limited travel is expected.What you'll do
  • Identify and qualify leads for CMMC compliance services within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leaders in the execution and strategy of the CMMC sales program.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements for CMMC opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical experts and consultants
  • Develop proposals to meet the unique needs of potential clients.
What you'll bring
  • Accurately manages CMMC sales pipeline and forecast
  • Experience with developing proposals related to CMMC offerings
  • Ability to communicate with various Senior back-office stakeholders including Marketing, Contracts, Finance, Delivery.
  • Collaboration with the CMMC Marketing Team to drive demand across the CMMC landscape.
  • Assists in developing organizational sales strategy related to CMMC
  • Background in client management process from pre-sales to contract closure
  • Experience with developing competitive intelligence related to sales opportunities
  • Developing sales go to market strategy
  • Established relationships within the CMMC ecosystem, Cyber AB and DoD
  • Thorough understanding of the business development/sales lifecycle
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills to work with technical leaders, business executives, customers, and subcontractors
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • Ability to support ad hoc business development opportunities outside of CMMC if needed
EducationCompleted Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in an IT related field.Clearance / SuitabilityAbility to obtain a clearance or a Public Trust is preferred, however all clearance levels and non-cleared applicants will also be considered.Certifications
Not required, but an active Cybersecurity Certification or the CMMC Certified Professional (CCP)Years of Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in business development or capture, selling services to commercial/public sector clients.
  • 3+ years of experience selling and/or delivering cybersecurity solutions (CMMC background strongly preferred)
Bonus Points
  • Background in Commercial and Federal sales practices.
  • Established contacts in the Defense Supply Chain.
  • Familiarity with various cybersecurity governance risk and compliance standards, including FedRAMP and FISMA.
  • Management experience with small teams.
