Job DescriptionAs an Audit Manager, you will play an important role in managing the audit team and delivering client engagements. This is an exciting opportunity for a mature candidate who wants to continue growing in audit while coaching people and teams and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client services.Role and Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, having responsibility for agreeing audit timetables, monitoring budgets and supervising the audit process.
  • Directing, coaching and mentoring seniors to assist them in the effective delivery of engagements and the direction of their juniors, ensuring cost-effective, timely completion and effective service delivery to the required standard on each engagement.
  • Encourage open communication, collaboration, and teamwork among team members. Foster a culture of respect, trust, and mutual support where team members feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and seeking assistance when needed.
  • Cultivate positive and professional relationships with clients throughout the audit process. Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and feedback, demonstrating responsiveness and attentiveness to their needs.
  • Prioritize client satisfaction and strive to exceed client expectations in terms of service delivery, responsiveness, and value creation. Solicit feedback from clients regularly and use it to continuously improve the client experience.
  • Assisting the directors in monitoring the effectiveness of audit services delivered, providing feedback and reflection on the quality of service accordingly.
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • An ACCA, ACA or a recognized Accounting University Degree.
  • Be proficient in accounting standards and international standards on auditing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of audit experience within an audit department, preferably managing a team.
  • Experience in external audit planning, risk and control identification and performing, reviewing and directing external audit testing.
  • Experience identifying and effectively reporting any issues and recommendations for improvement to clients.
  • Capable of working within a team, managing multiple engagements and working to deadlines.
  • Be a smart and highly motivated individual with an eye for detail.
