- Assist the grant management staff for the Resilient Florida Program in the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection.
- Coordinate directly with other DEP staff, federal agencies, and local authorities to facilitate successful completion of grants and projects.
- Perform data entry into program and department databases.
- Coordinate and report on status of projects through all phases including completion.
- Assist team leader with grants and projects assigned.
- Coordinate the review, approvals, and processing of administrative and technical aspects of assigned projects.
- Assists in the editing of standard operating procedures for the section.
- The position also coordinates with the other sections and program areas in the Department in pursuit of the overall mission.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of electronic document management systems
- Skilled at planning, organizing, and coordinating work priorities and managing time efficiently
- Skilled in methods of collecting, compiling, organizing, and analyzing data
- Skilled in the use of current forms of electronic communication and data management software and equipment
- Skilled (high proficiency) in the use of computers and applications, particularly the entire Microsoft Office Suite
- Skilled in typing reports and information into spreadsheets and electronic documents
- Ability to consistently demonstrate positive and effective teamwork
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and utilize problem-solving techniques
- Ability to demonstrate professional and effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to assigned projects
- Ability to maintain a driver's license
- An associate's degree and two years of related professional experience
- A valid driver's license
