This is a full-time position with benefits and a competitive salary. This teacher reports directly to the Middle School Director. Catholic preferred.Responsibilities
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor classroom instruction and learning.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teachers to support students
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school administrators.
  • Use instructional technology throughout all lessons.
  • Differentiate instruction so as to meet the needs of a diverse learner population.
  • Enjoy, appreciate, and understand the developmental nature of middle schoolers.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold (or be eligible to) a valid Washington State teaching certificate.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the middle school level
  • Engage students in meaningful and authentic learning experiences
  • Believe that all students can learn and achieve at high levels.
  • Be a life-long learner.
  • Desire to work in a teacher-driven, student-centered environment.
  • Demonstrate curiosity about the world and passion to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Desire to continue professional development.
  • Have experience using technology within the classroom.
  • Understand the importance of building a positive classroom environment. characterized by respect, joy, humor, and instructional excellence.
  • Value diversity and inclusion in their instructional approach.
Compensation Salary range is $64,740 to $101,230.
