- Develop a territory management plan for the market that includes promotion of WVU at college fairs, high school visits, panels, information sessions, virtual sessions, and special events.
- Support prospective students and families with information related to the university, admissions, academic programs, financial aid, residence life, and the student experience.
- Establish and maintain a database of guidance and career counselors.
- Transport materials, set up recruitment displays, and represent WVU with integrity and professionalism at all events.
- Organize, plan, and host WVU specific recruitment events in the market to include both virtual and in-person.
- Ethically adhere to WVU policy and procedure related to expenditures, budget, and university resources.
- Independently establish, operate, and maintain a remote home-office.
- Provide space for and maintain an inventory of all admissions publications and other WVU materials.
- Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
- In addition to the formal education and/or training requirements of this job, experience is preferred in higher education, recruitment, marketing, public relations, counseling or sales.
- Ability to relate to the concerns of prospective students and parents and the ability to counsel regarding future educational opportunities and financial obligations.
- Outstanding commitment to customer service.
- Event planning, execution, and reporting skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of the undergraduate curricular and co-curricular experience at a larger, public institution.

- Must be able to travel frequently (often overnight) and to work extended hours and weekends.
