We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!What we are looking for:The Senior Manager of UX Writing and Content Strategy will lead a team of UX writers and content strategists who craft content for The Trade Desk.As a member of UX leadership, you'll partner closely with UX Design and Research leads, as well as leadership across product management, marketing, engineering, and client services to understand customer and business needs, and define and execute content strategies that enhance user engagement, comprehension, and drive behavior change.What you'll do:
  • Lead a growing team of UX Writers and Content Strategists who produce content for a full spectrum of customer and partner audiences.
  • Internalize the business vision as a fundamental part of your perspective and use it to develop and carry out the overall vision for external-facing product content at The Trade Desk.
  • Articulate product content strategy across the company and execute the plans to make that vision a reality. Advocate for the writing team.
  • As a people manager and team builder, recognize, retain, and grow talent. Design team structure and skillsets for a growing organization.
  • Evolve the team's processes, tools, and operations to address business needs.
  • Ensure our content meets the needs of our users and partners, optimizing content and structure for each audience (using feedback to inform our strategy and content development).
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on content, designs, workflows, and other key artifacts.
  • Facilitate partnerships across The Trade Desk to enhance our written content with high-quality multimedia work, when needed.
  • Ensure that content work is effectively focused, prioritized, and delivered when it's needed to support business goals.
  • Refine and scale processes for global growth, including localization.
Who you are/Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in content design or UX writing, technical writing, and content strategy
  • 5+ years of experience as a people leader of both ICs and managers for UX writing teams
  • A cross-functional collaborator, strong communicator and listener
  • A strong advocate, voicing the needs of users as well as your team
  • Eager to thrive in a fast-paced and quickly-evolving environment
  • Steeped in content design and technical writing best practices
  • Committed to exceptional output, setting standards of excellence
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related technical field such as Computer Science or Design
  • Familiar with Figma, CMS systems and single-sourcing, content authoring tools and concepts, XML and HTML basics
  • Added bonus: Ad tech experience and familiarity with programmatic advertising
