ResponsibilitiesProvide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eatingRemind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulationHelp with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercisesComplete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do soPerform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidentsAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyOffer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessaryQualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 6 months of home health experience required
Current CPR certification preferred
Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray will be required
Background check will be required
Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
Empathy for the needs of the client
Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a
positive public image
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to express spoken and/or written ideas in English
Works as a team member
Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
