Our Special Missions division delivers specialist aviation services to Government and industry customers.In January 2025 we will start delivering a Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue (SAR) service, which will operate 24/7/365 out of Shannon Airport, Ireland, on behalf of the Irish Coast Guard.We are looking for a Captain(s) who will also act as our NP Flight Operations and/or NP Crew Training. These roles will be pivotal to putting our new contract into service and give the right candidate(s) a nice mix of flying alongside the nominated postholder roles. This will allow the right person to progress with 2Excel and grow with our footprint in Ireland.In the meantime, the flying will be varied and challenging on a King Air B200 with a First Officer multi pilot, day and night. You’ll also have a Sensor Operator on board, who will manage the sensor and mission equipment. This is not your average A to B aviation job.To be considered for this role, successful applicants must have:

EASA Class 1 medical
EASA CPL/IR or ATPL
Minimum of 1500 + total flying hours (Including a minimum of 750 PIC, 100 IR and 100 Night)
At least 100 hours on King Air Series aircraft (or equivalent)
Relevant experience in a similar setting (military, police, coastguard)
Suitable level of experience and qualifications to meet the requirements of NP Flight Operations and /or NP Crew Training.

It is also desirable that the chosen candidate(s) has the following experience:

Proven experience in taking a lead pilot/managerial role in a forward operating base
A current King Air 200 type rating is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided

The role will be based in Shannon and we’re looking for candidates who are able to start as soon as possible, although flying will not commence until January 2025, with training scheduled towards the end of 2024. Successful applicants may be required to undertake training and work from locations other than Shannon during the startup phase.In return, we can offer a competitive base salary and shift allowance.
