- Interfacing and providing leadership and support for capital projects, process engineering, and contractors supporting MI program development.
- Lead MI program activities such as training process, project, and reliability engineers on MI processes and procedures.
- Coordinating/consulting with client maintenance, operations, and project groups to deliver MI program deliverables.
- Supporting the AIM team objectives
- Integration of management systems supporting MI for fixed equipment, relief systems, and rotating equipment.
- Project Management functions include resource management, cost monitoring, and progress reporting for MI-related projects.
- Developing and revising MI procedures.
- Supporting clientele in defining, implementing, and sustaining risk management initiatives identified to deliver continuous improvement and compliance with industry/regulatory changes associated with MI.
- Supporting audits and gap assessments relative to MI programs for fixed equipment, relief systems, and rotating equipment.
- Quality control checks/audits of work and deliverables for timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to MI program guidelines and procedures. Audits may include maintenance records and/or third-party vendor records relevant to the design or testing of relief devices.
- Review client information to identify, track, and report MI trends on equipment.
- Working collaboratively with other functional groups within the organization.
- A solid commitment to safety and an active role in office and plant safety activities.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in mechanical reliability, tank/vessel/piping inspections, or design and MI program management.
- Plant engineering and process improvement experience.
- Industrial inspection, operations, and maintenance experience

- Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment.
- Familiarity with API, ASME, NACE, NBIC, NFPA.
- Ability to learn the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
- Ability to travel domestically 25 - 50%.
- Demonstrated ability in the practical application of 29 CFR 1910.119 regulations, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31 series Piping Codes, API 579, and ANSI/NB-23 National Board Inspection Code.
- Working knowledge of API 510, 570, 572, 574, 576, 580, and 581 codes or recommended practices.
