This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests.As a member of the Cog Railway Team, this position is responsible for working directly under the supervision of the Shop Foreman and Assistant Shop Foreman. During the seasonal operating schedule an engineer operates (drives) diesel power railcars over the railway and occasionally performs the duties of passenger train conductor.Our employees represent the Broadmoor brand and are Ambassadors of our Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Standards.What you will be doing:
  • Operates diesel railcars, locomotives and company owned highway vehicles in a professional and safe manner.
  • Performs routine maintenance, servicing and cleaning of railcars, locomotives and company buildings and repair shop areas.
  • Works as a passenger train conductor as required.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Ability to pass a post offer, pre-employment drug screening
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
  • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
