- Provide cost estimates, lead times, and technical information to customers through quotes and project proposals.
- Design high-current bus, insulators, advanced switches, presswelds, and other components.
- Translate engineering designs into manufacturing via ERP routings, SolidWorks models, and other applications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
- Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods.
- Offer manufacturing support and technical interface with customers.
- Translate customer needs into specific solutions.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the Engineering Department to maintain competitiveness in the power solutions market.
- Identify improvement opportunities to meet safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
- Proficiency in handling customer proposals, performing quotes, and pricing.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers, management, inter and intra-departmental coworkers, and production personnel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or college graduate with engineering co-op experience.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks, both 2D & 3D Design.
- Project management experience.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- 3+ years of experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems, particularly Infor Cloud Suite Industrial.
