- Conduct needs assessments and assists instructors in defining culturally responsive learning objectives, designing engaging learning activities, and developing assessments aligned with instructional goals that support positive socio-emotional development.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional teams to design and implement culturally relevant project-based and challenge-based learning experiences that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills among students.
- Design and facilitate workshops and training sessions to build instructors' capacity in effective instructional strategies, technology integration, learner engagement techniques, and creating inclusive learning environments that address students’ socio-emotional needs.
- Develop inclusive curriculum and instructional materials tailored for high school seniors to college-age young adults, including English language learners (ELL), with a holistic approach to member learning and development.
- Promote and integrate best practices in Project Based Learning (PBL) and Challenge Based Learning (CBL) methodologies within curriculum development, providing guidance and resources to instructors on effective implementation.
- Collaborate with our Career Services team to integrate our NEST-ed professional skills profile, designed to support professional soft skills and socio-emotional learning (SEL) principles, into academic curriculum.
- Collaborate with a team of instructors to provide guidance and support in implementing best practices in instruction and facilitation for 14-24 year olds.
- Solidify organizational best practices for supporting English Language Learners (ELL) and integrate those into the instructor's curriculum.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing constructive feedback and promoting professional development opportunities for instructors.
- Lead the implementation and administration of a new Learning Management System (LMS) to support organizational training initiatives, ensuring accessibility and usability for diverse learners, including ELL students.
- Configure and customize the LMS platform based on organizational requirements, optimizing functionality for effective content delivery and student engagement.
- Provide technical support and training to instructors and staff on LMS features, course creation, report generation and content management.
- Collaborate with Systems, IT and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, perform system upgrades, and integrate third-party tools and applications with the LMS.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of systems for regular evaluation and updates of annual curriculum offerings based on industry trends, learner feedback, and instructional effectiveness.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing curriculum materials, assessments, and learning resources to identify areas for improvement or revision.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional teams to design and implement curriculum enhancements aligned with learning objectives and standards.
- Monitor and analyze curriculum performance metrics, conducting evaluations to assess program outcomes and identify opportunities for refinement and innovation.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or faculty development roles, preferably in an educational or training setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team or body of work and/or projects.
- Demonstrated skill in designing inclusive curriculum for diverse student populations, supporting ELL students in academic settings and integrating socio-emotional learning.
- Proven expertise in implementing and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS), with experience in system administration and user support.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles, project based learning, adult learning theory, and assessment strategies.
- Strong curriculum evaluation, instructional technology integration, and professional development facilitation skills.
- Proven track record of designing, developing and managing educational programs for diverse and underrepresented youth populations.
- Experience in change management, demonstrating the ability to lead teams through organizational shifts and adapt to evolving program requirements.
- Strong cross-functional team collaboration, adaptability to change, and problem-solving skills.
- Conversational or fluent in spoken and written Spanish.

- Understanding of and sensitivity to issues of culture/ethnicity/race, gender, sexual identity, class/SES and immigration status.

- Must have a valid CA driver's license and be able to travel and work evenings or weekends occasionally, or as needed.
- This position may involve domestic travel with overnight stays.
