- Sterilization of materials, cleaning of labware and glassware, creation of medias and solutions and cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Supporting validation and qualification of equipment.
- Use of electronic data systems.
- Ordering and routine inventory of shared stockrooms, lab spaces, and compressed gas cage.
- Unpacking and transport of commercial media.
- Disposal of regulated medical and biohazardous waste.
- Performing aseptic techniques.
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment, including calibration and cleaning.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow written procedures and execute verbal instructions with exceptional attention to safety and quality.
- Strictly adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Working in designated laboratory areas, utilizing established procedures, and ensuring proper documentation for regulatory agencies as required.
- Assist with data entry and data management tasks as needed.
- Employees will be fully trained on personal protection practices, provided clothing and protective equipment, and are required to follow all safety procedures as provided by the company where specified. The position may require the employee to work with chemical and biological agents that may be hazardous to health if mishandled (including agents which may potentially affect reproductive health and/or development of the fetus).
- Associate degree with a concentration in science a plus
- Environmental Health and Safety Knowledge a plus.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry a plus.
- Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and complete tasks in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting either collaboratively or individually to achieve goals.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and proactive approaches are required.
- Familiarity with laboratory operations and standard laboratory techniques.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and understanding of laboratory best practices.
- Must be able to safely and compliantly perform required job functions. This includes being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform tasks using fine motor skills, stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat and kneel as needed, and perform tasks repetitively.
- Must be able to safely and compliantly operate equipment required for this position.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office).
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
