Hyannis Country Garden is recruiting for a Seasonal Cashier. In this role, you will be responsible for processing Point of Sale transactions and sale of product for the company.
  • Seasonal Position * Interviews in March for Spring Start Date! * Must have weekend availability. *
The duties of this role are: * Operate computerized Point of Sale cash register to process sales transactions.
  • Interact with and greet customers.
  • Research customer's interests and preferences and direct them to products and solutions.
  • Explore and resolve customer questions or concerns.
  • Develop product knowledge of all store departments and provide verbal tours of property.
  • Maintain stock, organization and cleanliness of register terminals.
  • Utilize customer accounts database and rewards program functionality.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer.
  • Uphold company standards and expectations as stated in policy manual and training card program.
Reporting to the Store Manager, work is primarily performed in an outdoor environment and requires attention to detail, processing inventory data through Point of Sale, multi-tasking, telephone and radio communication. Daily interaction with the public and team members. Judgment is used in analyzing specific situations to determine appropriate actions. Employee is expected to weigh efficiency and relative priorities in conjunction with procedural concerns in decision making. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or its' equivalent, previous cashier experience and strong computer literacy. Candidate to have working knowledge of retail sales, have good interpersonal and communications skills, and good ability to interact well with the public.
