OverviewResponsible for providing a warm, safe and nurturing learning experience for the children at the childcare center while communicating the goals, guidelines and standards of the center. All team members are required to comply, maintain and enforce the rules and regulations of the North Carolina Division of Child Development as well as all Health Department sanitation requirements.Applicants must upload the following documents to their application to be considered:

  • Education:2 Year / Associate Degree, required. AA/AAS degree in Early Childhood or related field as defined by DHHS DCD Workforce Education unit, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Early Childhood or related field as defined by DHHS Division of Child Development Workforce Unit, preferred.
  • Experience Required:Minimum of 2-year verifiable experience in a childcare center, or years of experience working with children up to 12 years of age, required.
  • Licensure/Certification:NC Credentials or equivalency defined by regulatory compliance Division of Child Development Workforce Unit, required. CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required. SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire ( infants up to 2 years of age), required.
  • Additional Skills Required:
  • DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter (required renewal every 5 years), and Workforce letter or education verification.
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • BSAC required for those working with school age children. CDL for school age if driving the buses.
  • Additional Skills Preferred: Playground safety training.
