  • MANUFACTURE CAR DEALS
  • ENSURE PROPER TRAINING FOR MANAGERS
  • BE HELPFUL- A GOOD GENERAL SALES MANAGER MAKES THEMSELVES AVAILABLE TO MANAGERS AND STAFF ALIKE
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES * PROMOTE CULTURE
  • SHOW STAFF HOW TO DO THINGS INSTEAD OF JUST TELLING THEM
  • MOOD/WORK ETHIC MATTERS (SERVANT LEADER)
  • GAIN TRUST OF THE STAFF WORKING AROUND YOU
  • ENSURE PROPER FLOOR PRESENCE. YOU SHOULD MAKE YOURSELF AVAILABLE TO YOUR SALES TEAM
  • MANAGE MANAGERS
  • ENSURE EACH MANAGER IS ACCOMPLISHING GOALS SET FORTH BY YOU AND THEM
  • MONITOR PERFORMANCE OF EACH MANAGER AND HOLD 1-ON 1’S AS NECESSARY
  • PERSONNEL
  • BE INVOLVED IN HIRING REPLACEMENTS OR ADDITIONAL STAFF/SUPPORT STAFF AS NECESSARY
  • ENSURE STAFF IS HERE ON TIME AND FOLLOWING THE HANDBOOK
SCHEDULE/HOURSREGULAR MANAGER’S HOURS 8:00AM-6:00PM, 1 DAY OFF PER WEEK (PLUS SUNDAY), AT LEAST 1 SATURDAY OFF PER MONTHEXAMPLE DAILY CHECKLIST OF DUTIES: * MORNING SALES MANAGER DOC MEETING AT 8AM
  • ENSURE MANAGERS ARE HELPING SALES STAFF FIRST AND DOING ADMIN TASKS SECOND
  • MANUFACTURE DEALS- FIND WAYS TO PUT DEALS TOGETHER THAT OTHERWISE WOULDN’T WITHOUT YOUR HELP. EX HOTS, INTERNET LEADS, SKIM THROUGH DESK LOG
  • CONFIRM WHO IS HANDLING HOTS, APPOINTMENTS, PENDERS, CREDIT APPLICATIONS
