As a market leader in the consumer banking business, DBS has a full spectrum of products and services, including deposits (incl. structured solutions for NRI), investments, insurance, mortgages, credit cards and personal loans to help our customers realise their dreams and aspirations at every life stage.Job PurposeThe incumbent will be responsible for distribution of Third Party Investment products (Unit Trusts, Alternates and Forex) at VRM Channel. The role involves driving revenues and volumes of third party investment offerings as well Forex through DBS India Branches.The role involves supporting the VRM team of Relationship Managers and Unit Heads / Team Leads in achievement of their volume and revenue objectives through a “need based selling “approach that would fit the customer’s objectives and investment profile to the product offerings of the Bank.Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure achievement of Investment Product Volumes and Revenue objectives of the VRM.
  • Ensure AMFI certification / EUIN transfer of new joiners and existing team members and timely renewal of the same.
  • Impart effective training on new product launch / refresher training on investment, alternate and Forex, AML and other mandatory trainings and keep the record of attendance to comply with internal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure implementation of investment sales process and the investment profile suitability of clients to the products purchased.
  • Ensure sustainable trail income for the Bank through driving the Mutual Volumes while driving activation of team members for Investment and Forex products.
  • Provide feedback from market and customers to Central Investment Product team for continuous improvement / ideation for new product and processes.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of knowledge on products, market updates and fund fact sheets amongst front line team members and Unit Heads.
  • Track the input activities of team members through client book analysis and align the activities to the desired investment volumes and revenue objectives.
  • Ensure customer-centricity at all times, adherence to fair dealing norms and compliance to internal and regulatory guidelines at VRM.
  • Ensure adequacy of product brochures, addendums and proposal forms at VRM repository and check for replenishment of sales kit of RMs
  • Ensure complaint resolution within the approved TAT through coordination with Central Investment product team and insurer partners at VRM unit.
  • Ensure AMFI certification and EUIN transfer of all new joiners and existing team members and timely renewal of the same.
  • Update team members at VRM on products and processes during team huddles and ensure new / refresher product trainings with attendance recorded.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers to analyse their client book for opportunities, aid in identification of prospects and ensure joint engagement with clients to drive investment product volume and revenues of the VRM unit.
  • Work closely with VRM Service and Operations team to resolve discrepancies and minimize revenue leakages.
  • Analyze the training / skilling requirements of team members on investment and coordinate with Central Product Team and AMC resources to impart the same at the VRM Unit.
  • Organize regular customer engagement events and investment seminars to deepen the wallet share and entrench the client relationship.
  • Exercise due diligence for alternate product(s) and ensuring call-back confirmations or supervisory validations through recorded lines as per the prevailing process and scripts.
  • Execute investment product strategy at the VRM unit with skills and knowledge imparted to team members on product positioning and ensure portfolio reviews as per the DBS adopted asset allocation model.
Required Experience
  • Overall 8-10 years of experience in retail banking or NBFCs with 4 to 5 years’ experience in a private /MNC bank set up.
  • Proven sales track record in the financial services industry
  • Sound Understanding of investment , forex and wealth management products
Education / Preferred Qualification
  • Graduate or Post Graduate with MBA with relevant number of years of experience in retail banking in a private Indian or MNC Bank set up.
  • Should be AMFI certified. FEDAI (IIBF) certification preferable.

  • Knowledge of financial markets and products to assist in effective engagement with clients.
Work Relationship
  • Management of Branch / Cluster team members, clients and prospects.
  • Close interaction with City / Cluster Head, Unit Heads, Branch Service and Operations team to ensure consistent delivery of Branch / Cluster investment / forex volume and revenue targets.
  • Close and regular interaction with Central Investment product team and Unit Heads / Team Leads to ensure continuous training of team members and explore potential in existing client book.
  • Establish strong relationship with third party AMC resources at Branch / Cluster and other partners
