- Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest first culture on your team; including consultations, personalized shopping techniques and selling tactics
- Retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies
- Planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
- Helping build a team of hourly team members
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience. Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement; including merchandising, pricing workload, transitions, revisions, sales plans, events and promotions
- Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs (this includes early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends)
- Support your Executive Team Leader develop a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate about Beauty, both in Core and Ulta Beauty, by staying current on brands, trends and promotions
- Encourage your team to use product samples as a way to welcome, inspire and influence guests and as an opportunity to provide personalized recommendations to complete their look
- Support and maintain all Beauty processes, organization, layout and replenishment of the salesfloor led by your Executive Team Leader to ensure product is available for guests
- Provide a seamless experience for guests navigating between Ulta Beauty and Core beauty
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team
- Lead team onboarding and learning and close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experience
- Model and instill in your team the behaviors that drive guest loyalty
- Maintain all required training
- Hold team members accountable to expectations set by your Executive Team Leader
- Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs as set by your Executive Team Leader
- Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; hold the team accountable to work in the same way
- Support your Executive Team Leader create a safety advocacy culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and that of your team, identifying and correcting hazards, and holding team accountable to working in a safe manner to benefit themselves and others.
- If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes
- Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.)
- Model and maintain all Ulta Beauty Service Standards and foster a productive relationship with your Ulta Beauty Business Partner following-up on key takeaways from their time in your store (where applicable)
- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Age 18 years of age or older
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to:
- Lead and hold others accountable
- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed work independently and as part of a team
- manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Welcoming and helpful attitude
- Effective communication skills
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
- Accurately handle cash register operations, as needed
- Climb up and down ladders as needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
