Holy Family School in Auburn seeks a detail oriented and committed Extended Care Coordinator, starting 2024-25 school year. HFS is a Preschool thru 8th grade Catholic school residing on the grounds of, and fully in partnership with, the Holy Family Parish. We are committed in our mission: “Holy Family School, as part of Holy Family Parish community, educates and inspires students to grow in faith, to demonstrate academic excellence, and to model Christian citizenship.” We seek like minded individuals to join HFS!REPORTS TO: School PrincipalCLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, HourlyWORK SCHEDULE: 24 hours/week, 38 weeks/year based on school calendarBENEFITS: This position is part time and not benefits eligiblePAY: starting at $20.00 per hour (Any offered wage is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.)Job Description:Maintains an environment that promotes cooperation, learning, and enjoymentAssist students on nightly homework and provide an environment of cooperative relationships within grade levels during outdoor play.Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior in all environments after schoolLight cleaning and furniture arrangingCreate a line of communication with the parents, teachers, and principalTrack student attendance and provide reports to administrationManage student behavior and communicates challenges to principal and parentsHours of Duty:6:50-8:10am, Monday-Friday2:50-6:00pm, M, T, Th, F1:50-6:00pm, WThe school year goes from late August to mid-June. (No workdays in the summer months or during holiday breaks)Start Date: August 2024Qualifications of the successful candidate will include:Model Christian values aligned with Holy Family’s mission statementDemonstrate knowledge and skill for database use and program managementCollaborate with administration and colleaguesDemonstrate a love of children and knowledgeCommunicate with parents and students about student experienceDemonstrate an enthusiasm for personal lifelong learningExperience in a classroom is preferred but not necessary(i.e. paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, classroom teacher)Ability to manage large and small groups of childrenAbility to relate to staff, parents, and the children in a positive mannerPrior experience in a related position working with childrenCurrent CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (certification will be provided if needed)Background Check and VIRTUS course (Provided upon hire)
