We are currently accepting applications for the position of Human Service Worker (HSW) for the Receiving Center.The Receiving Center is a 7 day a week, 24 hour a day, 365 days a year adult mental health crisis center. An HSW functions as a mentor/behavior technician who is responsible for the well-being of our clients. On our team, their role is to assist in providing support to individuals experiencing crisis.Wasatch Behavioral Health (WBH) provides quality, comprehensive mental health care with an array of programs and services for individuals within Utah and Wasatch counties. Our employees possess unique strengths that contribute to impactful client experiences and outcomes.If you have some experience, education, or even just an interest in the field of Mental/Behavioral Health, come join us!Schedule: Varied, 8 hour shiftsCompensation: $15.62 - $19.79 per hour (depending on experience)Additional compensation available for Spanish speakers after testing proficiency.Essential Functions: (Performs all or some of the following)Participates in the development and social adjustment of clients/residentsProvides one-on-one assistance and supportAssists with implementation of behavioral modification treatment programs and plansProvides client supervisionAssists with instructional and activity planningManages crisis situationsTeaches independent living skillsDocuments client behaviorsParticipates in staff and peer review meetingsAssists with document reviewsMonitors client behaviors and reaction to medicationsAssists to distribute medicationsAssures safety of the clientsAssists with crisis interventionParticipates in general maintenance of facilitiesSee included link for the full job descriptionMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and one (1) year post high school education in social work, psychology or a related field and one (1) year of general work experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to drive center vehicles, as neededEmployment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
