- Prepare and coordinate work to be estimated and distributed to the various internal process experts;
- Ability to understand the scope of work to bid;
- Drive & aid in the development of project time estimates by reviewing/processing customer purchase orders and contracts;
- Process/review customer purchase orders and contracts;
- Analyze job order cost variance reports for repeat quotes & orders;
- Prepare and/or update routings & bill of materials (BOM) as needed;
- Schedule and manage the Product Realization Process assuring accurate and thorough input by internal stakeholders;
- Work closely with senior management to ensure scope & direction is on schedule, as well as other departments for support;
- Ensure production schedule is coordinated with procurement team/outside vendors to maintain accurate project deadlines;
- Responsible & accountable for project completion ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met while cognizant of delivery dates & inventory levels for fulfillment;
- Build strong alliances across all functions and is a strategic liaison to carry out and fulfill projects within required timelines;
- Resolves project issues and ensures timely follow-up on all customer concerns;
- Coordinate APQP (advanced product quality planning efforts (FMEA, Measurement Systems Analysis, SPC a& PPAP) for new projects in conjunction with Quality Control, Document Control, and Quality Assurance areas;
- Participate in calls and attend customer meetings when required;
- Create and execute project work plans and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope;
- Review deliverables prepared by the team before passing to the client;
- Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards including project documents are complete, current & stored appropriately;
- Minimizes the company’s exposure and risk on projects by maintaining project documentation, customer communications and understanding the valid requirements;
- Compiles and maintains control records and related files to release blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents to manufacturing and other operating departments;
- Examines documents, such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify the completeness and accuracy of data;
- Overall support of Sales & Customer Service efforts as required;
- Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents;
- Coordinates posts/changes to computerized or manual control records, releases documents, and notifies affected departments. Maintains related files;
- Adhere to Employee’s responsibilities outlined in Cygnus’ Health & Safety Policy.
- 5 years of Project Management in a manufacturing environment required;
- Machining and contract manufacturing experience required;
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of experience) required; Engineering preferred;
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus;
- Experience with quality system documentation practices;
- Knowledge of ISO, AS9100, and FDA concepts and guidelines;
- Strong communication, prioritization, analytical problem-solving, and organizational skills;
- Possess excellent written and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work on complex assignments in collaboration with various department system owners;
- Adaptable and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid changes;
- Presents a polished, professional manner and is eager to learn and be challenged;
- Proficient use of MS Office suite (including MS Project);
- Results and success-oriented, conveying a sense of urgency and driving issues to closure;
- Must be capable of working independently under minimal supervision and with others positively and collaboratively;
- Previous experience with Pro Engineering or Autodesk Inventor software is a plus;
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold, and/or noisy areas);
- Frequent hand-to-finger, handle, feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing;
- Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results).
