- Supervise the day-to-day facility operations to meet required production rates and monitor operating data to minimize problems and downtime.
- Monitors administration of company policy and standard operating procedures.
- Evaluates employee performance and goal achievement.
- Responsible for review of and implementation of Midland Terminal and Gathering expense and capital budgets.
- Provide guidance to resolve operational problems as required.
- Works unified with shared service departments to maintain consistency with all areas of business and maximize the benefits of all departments.
- Supports capital projects through project commissioning activities.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and company policy.
- Broad and varied experience in the maintenance and operations of pipelines.
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced ever-changing environment, and simultaneously manage numerous activities at once.
- Sound technical, operational, administrative, and maintenance judgment and decision-making skills are required.
- Proven ability to manage large numbers of employees.
- HS Diploma or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of crude terminal operations experience
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required.
- Familiar with regulatory guidelines of government agencies and with the Incident Command System concerning emergency response.
- Previous experience as Incident Commander.
- Relative pipeline and tank terminal experience.
- Experience staffing and hiring field teams.
- This position will be responsible for supporting the hiring and staffing process for the entire terminal facility and pipeline segments
- Position subject to being on call 24 hours, 7 days per week.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations as required.
- The position is subject to travel throughout Texas and New Mexico.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
