As the county hospital system, JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years.   • APP generally not assigned call
  • 5 Days Inpatient Service
Pulmonary/Sleep Team:
  • 8 Physicians
  • 6 APPs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility
  • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area
  • Must have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills
Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs
  • Formulates and implements comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, standards of care, professional practice guidelines in collaboration with physicians when appropriate
  • Initiates timely consultation and referrals
  • Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
  • A commitment to lead and support efforts to enhance the climate of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the Division
Qualifications:Required Education and Experience:
  • Degree in PA studies or nurse practitioner certification from an approved program
  • Licensed as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times
  • 1 Year experience preferred
  • Sleep medicine experience preferred but not required
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Physician Assistant Board Certification and Experience
  • Texas Medical License
