JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions in an organization.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
General accounts receivable functions:
  • Prepare and submit customer invoices
  • Code, post and receipt payments
  • Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations
  • Monitor customers accounts for non payment and delayed payment
General accounts payable functions:
  • Check, verify and process invoices
  • Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
  • Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Maintain vendor files
General support functions:
  • Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
  • Assist in month end reporting procedures
  • Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
  • Assist with owner expense reports
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from the Finance Manager. Position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an office environment. Works standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time while working on a daily basis. Sits, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties. Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the De La Paz Cleaning and Rental Service LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years experience in clerical accounting
  • Associate degree in business or accounting an advantage
  • MS Office and knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
  • solid computer literacy
  • QuickBooks online experience is a must.
  • Must pass a background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of financial management
  • Knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
