The primary function of the Human Resources and Payroll Assistant is to issue payroll and assist the Human Resources Manager in day-to-day operations of the HR department.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Human Resource Manager with duties such as:
- Coordinate drug testing for new hires and quarterly random drug and alcohol testing
- Coordinate with the HR Generalist to maintain the wellness program
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process
- Assist with benefit administration and communicating benefit information to employees
- Track and assist new employees with benefit enrollment and deadlines
- Coordinate meeting rooms and assist with food arrangements for meetings
- Keep corporate kitchen cleaned and supplied
- Assist and prepare correspondence and mailings as requested
- Process all payroll data and generate payroll checks, including bi-weekly, and monthly remittances while monitoring accuracy
- Maintain and file personnel records electronically into company database.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Payroll and Human Resource Managers
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Detail oriented and possess excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet weekly deadlines
- Previous experience working with an HRIS, preferably UltiPro
- 2-3 years of human resources and recent payroll experience for a large employer
