Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Health and Safety is tasked with the following duties:
- Conduct Risk Assessments associated with work activities, work sites, tools and equipment
- Conduct Risk Assessments and inspections of processes and facilities in line with Regulatory and Policy Compliance
- Develop and conduct training programs on health and safety awareness
- Monitor, investigate and report incidents
- Co-ordinate emergency response drills and be a key member of the Incident Response Team
- Consult with the Health and Safety Authorities and other stakeholders (internal and external) on any day-to-day health and safety issues that may occur
- Keep abreast of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and ensure that the Company is fully compliant.
- The chosen candidate needs to be mature, proactive and with strong observation and analytical skills
- Possess good written and oral communication skills to create and deliver reports, presentations and training materials
- S/He must be fluent in the Maltese and English language
- The chosen candidate should possess a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (or equivalent) or a degree in Health and Safety or equivalent
- Have good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation
- Candidates should be conversant with all MS Office applications.
