Job Summary/Basic FunctionPosition provides administrative support for the Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Engineering, Applied Science & Technology. This includes monthly monitoring and managing financial activities within the college, representing Dean/College within and outside of the university, and coordinating administrative functions of the college to include working closely with all departmental administrative assistants within the college. Administrative functions include verbal and written communication within key units of the university such as provost office, human resources, accounting and finance, financial aid and scholarship, university development, sponsored projects, purchasing and support services, telecommunications, facilities management and also includes generation and analysis of reports, records management, oversight of student scholarships, planning of commencement and awards banquet and other college events, key and building access. Works in conjunction with the Dean to address the needs of the faculty, staff, and students within the college. These responsibilities require diplomacy and the ability to work independently, analyze data, communicate effectively, problem solve, and to make sound judgments on a regular basis.
Required QualificationsRequired:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of administrative level office management experience.
  • Experience with computer programs used in an office setting, such as Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred:
  • Executive level administrative support.
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Working knowledge of Banner/ARGOS/Tableau (or similar) software platforms.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Budgetary and purchasing experience.
A successful candidate will have the following:Seeking applicants with the ability to track, organize, and manage all college-level budgets; high level of professional judgment and confidentiality, ability to interact effectively with executive level administrators, donors, and community partners; excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills with proven ability to draft documents for various audiences and purposes; proficiency in customer service; experience with report generation and analysis using numerous software platforms; experience in records management.
