Effective child support enforcement is an essential part of the larger effort by the Commonwealth and the federal government to promote families’ economic self-sufficiency.Position SummaryThe Metro CSE summer intern will assist the Regional Director in analyzing trends and data, gathering additional information from our case files, and recommending strategies for improving outcomes. The work will be focused on a key area of CSE’s work: enforcement of child support orders using license suspension and reinstatement as a tool for increasing compliance with court orders.Core ResponsibilitiesThe core responsibilities for the job will be to:· Compile and analyze data from license suspension and reinstatement activities to identify trends and discover opportunities for improvement.· Compile the results of the research into reports or presentations.· Assist the Regional Director in strategizing potential areas where improvements can be made and making recommendations for change.· Assist the Regional Director in presenting the outcomes of the intern’s work to other senior managers in the Division.Preferred Qualifications· Interest in public sector work/delivery of government services.· Understanding and support for the mission of CSE to ensure all children receive the financial support of their parents.· Strong communication skills, especially with diverse groups of people.· Experience working with Excel and basic Excel functions and charting tools.As part of the Future of Work Initiative, the agency is adopting a hybrid work model. Hybrid work is a mix of in-office work and telework.
