- Want to be a key systems engineer and domain specialist in the systems of system integration of groundbreaking weapons' systems for Aegis and Zumwalt class ships.
- Are a self-starter having demonstrated the capability to work in a small team under only general supervision from the technical lead. Attention to detail, innovative thinking, and some understanding of surface warfare and strike warfare are desirable.
- Want to join a highly motivated and agile systems engineering team solving complex systems of systems (SoS) integration problems for the U.S. Navy's ground breaking programs.
- Apply your past experience in solving complex systems-of-systems integration problems for the U.S. Navy’s ground breaking programs including Zumwalt, AEGIS, and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) in a high tempo, quickly advancing environment.
- Be an authority on the command and control (C2) element as it applies to the surface warfare domain, understanding data flows, logical implementation, and interfaces that enable new kill-chains.
- Conduct deep, highly technical analysis to address critical System of System (SoS) integration challenges and lead design work to solve emerging challenges
- Generate systems engineering products such as performance specifications, requirements, trade study reports, CONOPS, test and evaluation management plans, test plans and procedures, test schedules, and data collection plans to support both lab-based and shipboard live fire testing.
- Prepare for and participate in technical interchange meetings, providing technical insight to contractor, government agency, and research laboratory participants.
- Lead collaboration with multi-agency partners to develop, review, and validate robustness of new processes and logic for combat systems capabilities.
- Serve as a technical trusted agent to government sponsors, providing technical recommendations and guidance to acquisition decisions.
- Have a B.S. in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math or equivalent technical field
- Have 7+ years of applied technical experience in Systems Engineering
- Have 3+ years of direct workable experience in complex SoS engineering and integration, developing requirements, specifications, or interface documentation.
- Have 2+ years of experience in successfully leading a team of engineers.
- Are able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Are willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time, as needed.
- Have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance and ultimately a Secret clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. Citizenship
- Have an M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering or a related technical field
- Have 7+ years of relevant deep technical experience in Systems Engineering and are proficient with standard processes in Model Based Systems Engineering
- Have experience working in the Precision Strike domain, are familiar with Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM), Tomahawk Strike Network (TSN), Mission Planning, or hypersonic weapon systems
- Basic understanding kill chain of precision strike or anti-air warfare
- Have experience with Link-16, Common Data Link (CDL),or Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), unmanned surface vehicles
- Have workable technical experience with surface combat systems and end-to-end weapon engagement, weapon support
- Demonstrate superior initiative, energy, and organizational skills
- Have an active Top Secret or above security clearance.
