OPPORTUNITYWe are currently seeking a Research Associate II (RA II) to join Mammoth's Non-Viral Capabilities Team. In this role, the successful candidate will support Mammoth's proprietary CRISPR nuclease systems for a variety of therapeutic indications, supporting the production and characterization of RNA. This opportunity is well-suited for a team-player with technical expertise in downstream purification techniques and hunger for learning and growth.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The RA II will be a member of the Non-Viral Capabilities group, supporting laboratory research to produce and purify mRNA candidates for multiple therapeutic programs with Mammoth's organization
  • Evaluate and implement purification technology and optimized existing techniques and workflows
  • Assume responsibility for critical reagent sourcing and maintain adequate supply and inventory
  • Plan, execute and carefully document experimental results in a time sensitive manner using Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) systems and clearly communicate to internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to development and optimization of new technologies and methods related to improve mRNA synthesis and purification
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Biology, Molecular Biology or related discipline with 2+ years of experience
  • Experience with mRNA synthesis at different scales (High-throughput, medium scale), large-scale/multi-step chromatography (e.g. RP-HPLC, SEC) and tangential flow filtrations, along with a strong understanding of molecular biology and general lab operations
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally with highly skilled teams in fast-paced environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in nucleic acid characterization techniques
  • Experience in CRISPR Therapeutics using non-viral delivery

Base Salary Range: $84,938 - $90,100The listed base salary range is for Mammoth employees in the Bay Area. Actual base salary will be determined by geographic work location, relevant professional experience, applicable skills, and internal equity.
