Title: Learning & Development Program InternReports to: Learning & Development Program ManagerDate: April 2024Position Overview:The Learning & Development (L&D) Internship is an exciting opportunity to support the logistics of programs that prepare leaders to make Greater Boston more welcoming and inclusive. This role will support the implementation of the Chamber's existing learning & development programs which include: Boston's Future Leaders, Women's Leadership Program, Transformational DEI Certificate Program, How to Be an LGBTQIA+ Ally in the Workplace, and more in development. This individual will be responsible for extensive data entry and organization to ensure the continued smooth operation of all L&D programs. Additionally, there will be opportunities to support and attend sessions within the L&D programs. This role is designed for a systems- and efficiency-minded individual who is passionate about learning & education, interested in the Greater Boston business community, and a desire to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
  • Support the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce's L&D department and serve as a vital member of the team
  • Lead database management of L&D programs including entering new contacts into database, pulling reports, managing group lists, and tracking member engagement
  • Manage the L&D email inbox and serve as liaison between the general public and the L&D dept.
  • Assist with set-up and execution of program sessions including making participant nametags, tracking RSVPs and attendance, venue set-up and clean-up
  • Develop creative solutions for systems improvement and better record-keeping
  • Conduct a variety of online research and take notes or minutes during meetings
  • Be available and willing to support organizational wide efforts to support our members. Occasionally, this person may be called upon to help in other departments.
Requirements:
  • Interest in adult learning, education, or talent development preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills
  • Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Database experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability/confidence to interact with senior level executives
  • Strong time management skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor for interfacing with the business community
