The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides nursing care consistent with the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, the Plan for the Provision of Care to Patient, CSMC Code of Conduct, The Performance Improvement Plan and The Patient Education Plan. She/he maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. She/he can identify the ability of the adult and geriatric patients to follow direction and give consent. He/she can identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environment and provide care to patients with consideration of developmental milestones in the adult and geriatric patient population.In addition, the LVNII will provide excellent quality care including patient education, phlebotomy, high level disinfection, and assisting the MD with patient visits in the Fertility clinic and other settings as appropriate. The LVN II may participate in coordinating specific services as directed. This position may require rotation through weekend days for morning coverage. Perform other duties as required.QualificationsQualifications:Education:
  • Highschool diploma or GED
License/Certifications:
  • Current, unrestricted California LVN License required
  • Specialty certification preferred
  • BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a specialty that involves coordination of care preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Fertility Clinic preferred
  • 1 year of acute care experience
