Our client works tirelessly to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with additional educational needs, particularly in a secondary school setting. As a Math Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging and accessible lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students. You will work collaboratively with other staff members to develop Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure the academic success and personal development of all students.Key Responsibilities: * Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Math lessons that are adapted to the individual needs and abilities of students with special educational needs.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles, abilities, and challenges, including sensory processing differences and communication difficulties.
- Incorporate hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in special education and adapt teaching strategies to meet the evolving needs of students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Math and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the academic and personal growth of students with Challenging behaviours and additional needs.
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
