- Sets-up and maintains seasonal assortment using proprietary collection management and sample tracking tools. Responsible for gathering and managing product attribute information. Works with cross-functional teams to communicate product information and updates.
- Places sample orders in the Sample Management system, follows up with artists on order status, establishes priorities, troubleshoots, and finds solutions.
- Receives, labels, and organizes inbound sample orders. Collaborates with warehouse, artists, and designers to resolve discrepancies between orders and receipts. Responsible for timely sample return process from initiation to ensuring delivery to artists and designers. Partners with warehouse as needed to unpack inbound orders and pack and ship returns.
- Assists in the assortment review and selection process by preparing appropriate documents and managing samples for seasonal calendar milestones. Schedules meetings and follows up for the team. Develops effective, collaborative, cross functional partnerships.
- Develops and maintains artist and designer relationships by requesting information from artists and responding to artists' inquiries. Manages timelines for communications that are sent to Artful Home's artists and designers. Drafts communications, coordinates input across the merchandising department, and executes.
- Responsible for creating product pages on the website and managing existing product pages to ensure data integrity and the best customer experience.
- Responsible for catalog and email proofing, ensuring product information and copy accuracy.
- Maintains, manages, and organizes on hand sample inventory and the sample room for apparel. Completes the annual sample inventory, accounting for and adjusting any discrepancies.
- Creates and maintains a sample/swatch library and archive for apparel.
- Initiates and performs additional ad hoc analytical assignments as required.
- Assists with targeted consumer research to contribute to line development and pricing strategies.
- Requests necessary merchandising system enhancements.
- Enhances organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different demands; exploring opportunities to add value to job and work area accomplishments.
- Participates in related staff, team, and/or task group meetings to ensure constant communication of key items.
- Maintains current knowledge for this position and within the work area through continuing education, subscriptions, certifications, and memberships. Develops thorough knowledge of area methods, productivity, and quality.
- The majority of the work requires being onsite at the office in Madison, WI. Occasional remote work may exist.
- 2 or more years of related experience in a similar field is required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in fashion, business merchandising, or retail is a plus.
- Experience with Excel pivot tables is preferred.
