We are industry-leading experts, and we work hard to encourage a collaborative and team-oriented environment.A Day in the Life of a Graphic DesignerAs a Graphic Designer at Toole, you will be a part of our Graphic Design team, working collaboratively with planners, urban designers, landscape architects, and engineers to help graphically convey information about our built environment. You will sometimes lead teams on tasks that focus on design communication, and often support teams of other specialists to design and art direct a variety of deliverables including planning reports, presentations, stakeholder outreach materials, and websites. You will use your knowledge of visual communication and storytelling to help technical staff refine how they communicate their ideas and ensure the delivery of graphic products that are engaging and informative. Opportunities for work on illustration, wayfinding, and pop-up community engagement installations are also available depending on your specific background and skillset. You will regularly have a variety of interesting projects on your plate, and the ability to prioritize your efforts and effectively leverage the skills of other team members is critical.The Graphic Design team is dispersed throughout the country, currently including designers stationed in Portland, Madison, and Los Angeles, and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Toole Design's 19 offices in the US and Canada. You will regularly participate in critiques with your fellow graphic designers, help guide more junior team members, and contribute to company-wide graphic standards.Work ScheduleThis full-time position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week. We also provide employees with the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2-3 days per week. The Atlanta office of Toole Design is conveniently located downtown, within easy walking distance to MARTA and accessible by several bike routes.   • A bachelor's degree in graphic design from an accredited college or university and/or comparable work experience
  • 7+ years of graphic design experience
  • Excellent typography, color, and layout skills
  • Proficiency in graphic production using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong storytelling capabilities
  • Experience coordinating deliverables across multiple mediums, one of which must be publication design (books, magazines, annual reports, etc.)
  • Enthusiasm and interest in working with public clients
