- Train new employees, QCs and QAs, in all aspects of the department including quarterly and annual refresher training. Provide additional quality training support for Paper, Converting, and Warehouse team members. Provide training feedback to the trainee and to the trainee’s supervisor(s)
- Maintain training records for all quality team members including tracking Quality team member qualification status
- Regularly review department qualification requirements and modify as needed to ensure they are still relevant
- Present the quality training portion of New Hire Orientation classes as needed
- Promote an action-oriented safety culture embracing safety as a core value, instilling and exemplifying a safety mindset for all team members resulting in an incident free workplace.
- Understand key testing requirements and effectively convey them. Ensure finished products meet all quality requirements
- Periodically review existing Quality System procedures and develop new or modify existing procedures as needed.
- Assist in preparing and providing items needed to perform quality testing.
- Perform special testing for support of product development, validation, and product investigations (nonconforming goods, complaints, recalls and returned goods).
- Support activities as assigned in the following areas:
o Data systems maintenance
o Raw material approval and release. This includes receiving certificates of analysis in SAP and testing raw materials as needed
o Labeling/ packaging approval and release
o Verification of corrective actions
o Coordinate departmental scheduling for and participate in various internal audits including Pest Control, GMP, and Safety Behavioral audits
o Consumer complaint investigations
o Coordinate Round Robins with QC/QAs and with Product Development
o Maintain quality records (test reports, procedures, forms, etc)
- Perform other duties as necessary when directed to do so. This may include filling for QC or QA vacancies when not training team members, which could require working night shift or weekends
- Follow necessary GMP regulations, provide GMP training to any team member as appropriate when violations are found
- Familiarity with a formal Quality System (ISO 9000, GMP/ RCP, etc.) required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or similar programs. SAP knowledge also strongly preferred
- Math skills including algebra required; statistics knowledge a plus.
- Attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with team members at all levels
- Trained in or willing to become trained in the TWI training methodology as soon as practical
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate details of problems and recommend solutions to peers; solicit feedback from peers and work to achieve consensus on solutions.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a QA or Quality Resource (FQT) or equivalent experience with a prior employer
- Strong preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated experience in a training role, either at FQ or with a prior employer
