- Review and analysis of companywide financials, including financials consolidations, elimination entries, JV accounting.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts, balance sheets and cash flow statements (TM1).
- Prepare useful timely and accurate analyses, summaries and reports of financial data on operations
- Create a reporting methodology that supports a reliable cash flow projection process; manage cash to meet operational needs
- Coordinate year-end audit and prepare audited financial statements and footnotes.
- Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including billing, accounts payables, receivables, cash receipts/banking, payroll, revenue recognition, financial reporting and analysis
- Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly financial reports
- Ensure the company complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations
- Leading the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, CAS and FAR financial reporting requirements/regulations, to include ASC 606.
- Oversee and assist CFO with all Treasury functions/Cash Forecasts
- Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross team processes
- Partner with the CFO to support corporate finance activities
- Extensive experience in government contracting, including a thorough understanding of various indirect rate structures and service centers, financial consolidations, elimination entries, Joint-Venture accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field
- Five to ten years of managerial experience in related business area
- Certifications such as CPA, CFA, and CMA are preferred
- Proven work experience as a VP of Accounting or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
- Adept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessment
- Possesses critical knowledge of federal and multiple state tax laws as well as basic accounting issues
- Comprehensive knowledge of the overall accounting function
- Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
