Position Summary:Controls Engineer position requires working independently to enhance plant processes and equipment continuously. Responsibilities include designing, altering PLC programs, upgrading equipment, maintaining electrical documentation, improving uptime, and reducing maintenance expenses.Functions:
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and conducting daily inspections of required PPE.
  • Creating a safe working environment in line with company and regulatory policies.
  • Ensuring adherence to cleanliness, food, and equipment safety standards.
  • Maintaining compliance with quality standards in the production-packaging area and supporting quality and food safety programs.
  • Facilitating effective communication with team members, management, customers, and vendors.
  • Collaborating respectfully with team members to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Providing training, direction, development, evaluation, coaching, and leadership to subordinates.
  • Actively participating in departmental meetings, special projects, and task resolutions.
  • Promoting integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement, and positive interactions.
  • Supporting daily machine uptime and plant operations, troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues.
  • Designing electrical control systems and leading machine improvement projects.
  • Installing, maintaining, and modifying PLC systems, AC/DC drives, and motors.
  • Providing technical support and software changes for PLC-based equipment.
  • Assisting maintenance supervisors with machinery issues and startup of new technology.
  • Contributing to cost savings ideas and efforts and analyzing new designs.
  • Demonstrating regular attendance and performing assigned tasks.
Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, SIEMENS, operator interface devices, and AC/DC drives.
  • Proficiency in device net, Ethernet, Profibus Network Communication, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with Allen Bradley Panel View programs.
  • Competency in relay logic, ladder logic, pneumatic logic, and hydraulic logic.
  • Industrial experience with electrical control systems and knowledge of Wonder Ware.
  • Ability to write advanced control system programming and experience with SQL Server and batch management systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge of process machinery and flexibility to support various shifts.
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and self-motivation skills.
