Accounts Receivable (AR) Accounting Assistant reports directly to AR Credit and Collections Team Leader and posed to be an integral part of the team’s success: supporting day-to-day AR transactional, filing, organizational, reporting and communication needs, being a backup to the Team Leader’s activities, providing support to the entire Corporate Accounting & Finance team.What you will be doing:
  • Daily execute an effective and timely Cash Application (payments/refunds/adjustments) process
  • Maintain established tracking processes (refunds, approvals, etc.)
  • Support & improve documentation filing and organizational methodologies
  • Aid in AR and Aging validation, reporting and distribution
  • Initial customer’s set up under the Supervisor’s guidance and established processes
  • Assist with Bank reconciliations, and respective reporting
  • Support other accounting ad-hoc projects, reporting and administrative duties, as needed
  • If assigned, manage customers’ accounts, keep accurate records and resolve discrepancies
  • Backup for the direct supervisor’s activities, as needed
What you must have:
  • Cash Application experience in one of mainstream ERPs (e.g. SAP, S4 HANA, Great Plains, etc.)
  • Organized, focused on deadlines and deliverables, self-motivated
  • Proven ability to listen effectively and execute under supervisor’s guidance and mentorship
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced (min – Intermediate) Excel skills are essential (for work efficiency purposes)
  • Understanding / experience with shared Inbox / shared drive / shared points
  • Superior commitment to excellent team/organization/relationship service
  • Ability to work flexible hours as the needs of the team dictate
  • 5+ years with Cash Application & data entry (10-key) experience (in distribution, manufacturing, or similar non-service industry)
  • Understanding of, or exposure to, collections (and billing – preferably) processes
  • Understanding of accounting concepts (or exposure to basic accounting) is a plus (for career growth)
  • English. Strong professional written and verbal communication
  • Physical Demands, Requirement: Ability to climb 2 flights of stairs (office on 2nd floor, no elevator)
Other Information:
  • Full time in-office min 40 hours week. Preferably candidate with a reasonable commute to north Phoenix office (i-17 & Deer Valley)
