- Manage and coordination of planning processes for pre-development of new and rehabilitated multi-family affordable and housing projects, such as acquisition/site control, financing and design development.
- Lead the development and implementation of community engagement strategies to secure required approvals for various projects.
- Project manage and coordinate architects and consultants, as appropriate, to complete the design and site investigation phase.
- Manage the transition from the construction phase to operations, including completing lease-up, stabilization and conversion in conjunction with CHV’s operations team and third party property manager.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with all members of project development teams.
- Prepare applications to public and private funding sources including grant writing for capacity building.
- Oversee the development of marketing and informational materials for specific housing development projects. Ensure that public information regarding specific projects is consistent, accurate and maintained during all phases and ensure that project information is appropriate for public distribution.
- Make recommendations to the appropriate Senior Vice-President/Executive Vice-President regarding organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance measures to ensure quality service delivery to clients.
- Prepare, review and submit weekly reports and statistical information for both senior management and funder use.
- Analyze program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements.
- Confer with the appropriate Senior Vice-President/Executive Vice-President and/or other CAMBA management/Executive Staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues.
- Represent CHV at funder/outside agency/community meetings as requested.
- Immediately report to the appropriate Senior Vice-President/Executive Vice-President any: monitoring visits or funders’ events; significant events; any incident that might subject CAMBA to liability
- Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and five-seven years of multifamily real estate development experience, specifically with affordable housing experience. Experience with New York City and New York State affordable housing programs preferred.
- Experience as lead project manager completing a minimum of two finance closings and subsequent project completion and permanent conversion.
- Knowledge of most aspects of general real estate development, including multifamily housing finance, design, construction and operations including preservation, Year 15/retrofit/work-out developments.
- Familiarity with local, state, federal and private housing development & finance programs. Working knowledge of local housing markets and conditions.
- Self-motivated and proactive with an established track record of accomplishing tasks effectively and independently.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in various computer software systems (Dropbox) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
