- Assist customers in selecting/ordering trucks by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
- Use all reasonable methods of prospecting for new and used truck customers on a daily basis, either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses outside the dealership
- Provide follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers
- Offer service to all walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days
- Demonstrate new and used trucks to customer which may include test drives
- Write complete and accurate sales orders, secure deposits, and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies
- Deliver new and used trucks, explaining all warranties and dealership after-sale services
- Study truck and equipment specifications on a continual basis to improve knowledge of product performance and application
- Appraise used trucks when necessary and complete Used Truck Inspection Report in accordance with company policy
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and DOT medical card
- Ability to learn equipment specifications and engineer products/components to customer needs
- Understanding of basic mathematics and business finance
- Agricultural or mechanical backgrounds have been proven beneficial
