- Be a motivated, high energy, well-organized, collaborative Sr. Controls Engineer who will design, program and implement control systems for our clients in the food & beverage, life science, or advanced technology sectors.
- Assume accountability for project execution including team leadership, project scope, quality of deliverables, budget and schedule
- Maintain and grow solid client relationships
- Design automation control systems, create project documentation and drawings to meet client requirements
- Program PLCs (Rockwell) and HMI/SCADAs (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware)
- Participate in various automation project phases including installation, checkout and start-up
- Mentor and share knowledge with other controls engineers
- Troubleshoot control systems
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening relationships with our clients and team
- A minimum of eight years of direct experience as a controls engineer working on automated processes/system integration in a food, beverage, consumer health product, or other industrial manufacturing environment
- A track record of proficiency in control systems, troubleshooting, and working in high intensity environments
- Experience in the design and implementation of control system architectures (PLC, HMI, industrial networks, and related automation hardware\software)
- A solid understanding of industrial control panel design and fabrication (UL508A)
- Engineering consulting experience (preferred)
- The ability to successfully interact with clients
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
- A Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, or a related degree (preferred)
