Job Summary:The Staff Physician shall be licensed in the State of Mississippi. Performs histories and physicals; diagnoses and treats appropriate conditions for specialties. Active Highland Community Hospital medical staff with privileges to practice as appropriate. Complies with established standards, procedures, and policies of Forrest Health. Cost-effectively utilize supplies and equipment. Maintains a clean, orderly, safe environment for patients and personnel. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve Clinic objectives and maintain good employee, interdepartmental, and public relations. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, and abide by established communication code. Ability to perform other job duties as assigned.Performance Expectations: Demonstrates the ability to function within the established scope of practice for patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, plan of care, and consultation. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients, families, and visitors of all ages while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Interacts effectively and builds respectful relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, and health-related agencies. Adheres to and promotes the organization's established values, such as We CARE, the Language of Caring, HIPAA, ACO, safety, compliance standards, and all others.Qualifications:Education/SkillsGraduate of approved medical school. Successful completion of a residency in Pediatrics.Work Experience:Experience in some type of primary patient contact desirable.Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE Eligible to obtain Mississippi State Licensure. Board Certified or Board Eligible.Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on the required timeframe below Basic Life SupportWithin 30 Days of Employment RequiredMental Demands:Must have the ability to handle high-pressure situations and possess good communication skills.
