Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as a (Principal/Senior) Scientist LNP.Key responsibilities:Leadership: provide strong scientific, technical and regulatory leadership and for individual scientists and lab technicians on complex projectsRepresentation: act as a deputy of the team manager when neededProjects: lead multi-disciplinary matrix teams on complex projects in the area of scientific expertise. Lead problem solving and lessons learned activitiesScientific tasks: design advanced experimental plans, lead the execution, data evaluation, write and review high quality reportsInteractions: Assess novel technologies together with external partnersProvide solutions to identified risks, issues, problems. Report issues in a timely fashionFacilitate improvements to departmental business processes and contribute to the implementation of innovative technologiesDemonstrate flexibility to support other activities within the departmentProactive approach to own continuous professional developmentKey requirements:Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences related field (e.g bioengineering, chemical engineering)In-depth knowledge with liposome/lipid nanoparticle formulations processExperience and strong hands-on power in encapsulation development for biomolecules, with preference experience with mRNA formulation in lipid nanoparticlesExpert-level experience & understanding of handling, purification and processing of biomolecules.Experience with analyzing data derived from high-throughput screening and/or analytical characterization techniques (UV-Vis, fluorescence, particle characterization, chromatography etc.)Demonstrated ability to efficiently work in a fast paced and fluid environment, changes in priority and timeline restrictionsDesign DoE studies & high-throughput screen for lipid formulationsDesirable: Experience with cell-based assaysFluency in EnglishEvery day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
