SummaryUnder the supervision of the Director, Chairman, or Manager assists in the examination and treatment of patients under direction of the provider. In addition, may be involved in other areas including clerical, environmental and organizational support.EducationSome additional training beyond high school, but less than an Associates Degree. Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.Certification, Registration, and LicensureCertification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.ExperienceMinimum of six months related experience and/or training in similar medical practice/field.ResponsibilitiesTriage calls and identifies patient's health problem or concern.Schedules/reschedules appointments.Greets patients and escorts them to exam room.Interviews patients during visit.Prepares patient treatment room.Assist provider with examination/procedure.Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization.Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.Completes documentation of patient care and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Concord Hospital is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
