- Prepare and manage piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) over the full project lifecycle
- Optimize system solutions by reviewing the mass- and energy balance results
- Integrate and improve control strategies and maintenance philosphies
- Join HAZOP and LOPA studies
- Develop innovative concepts for modularization and standardization of the design process and the solutions.
- Prepare and manage equipment lists
- Reviewing and integrate PID's of package units
- Take the responsibility to coordinate with all stakeholders
- Clarify, discuss and present the technical solution towards the customer
- Supporting the selection process of the process equipment
- Align and check the layout and piping engineering results
- Support the function description preparation
- Degree level qualification in a process or mechanical engineering discipline.
- Minimum two years of experience as P&ID engineer, experience within the petrochemical industry is a plus.
- Knowledge about P&ID CAE programs, COMOS Process P&ID is a plus.
- Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is expected.
- Explain design solutions in an engaging manner
- Knowledge about ISO/EN standard, additional knowledge about US standards is a plus.
- Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is expected.
- Strong communication, analytical and planning skills
- Solution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act pro-actively
- Fluent in English. Another European language is an advantage.
