We're looking for a motivated Creative Director to partner with our clients and help lead creative initiatives. You'll be an instrumental part of a growing team, mentoring in-house graphic designers and content creators, and producing high profile work of your own. The ideal candidate will have held Creative Director or Senior Art Director positions at a digital agency. You’ll also partner with the VP of Creative Services and CEO on pitches, continuing to build a portfolio of sales and marketing campaign, social media, and branding work for the agency.
Our ideal candidate will have a big picture strategic vision and a forward-looking skill set. This hands-on position will lead and work on everything under the design and creative content umbrella. This is a remote work-from-home position for a full-time candidate based in the United States. We provide company-paid medical insurance, a 401k with company matching, and a healthy amount of paid time off and company holidays.Key Responsibilities:
  • You will be a member of the management team and play a key role in developing and directing the execution of marketing strategies and campaigns (primarily digital) for our clients, to realize their overall goals, brand presence, and marketing lead generation.
  • Virtually all of our clients utilize HubSpot in some fashion, so it's a requirement to learn the platform's capabilities firsthand and how to include it effectively in marketing strategies and campaign assets/content implementation.
  • Manage and lead our content marketing and creative design team, ensuring clarity in assignments, requirements, project schedules, and delivery plans.
  • Provide clear creative direction and productive, timely feedback to your teams
  • Deliver strong, sound, unexpected concepts and inspire the same among your team
  • Work collaboratively across disciplines to make sure the best work gets done
  • Articulate and present conceptual and directional choices for marketing initiatives
  • Manage and mentor your creative and content team members and actively promote continual creative improvement
  • Build productive, trusting relationships with clients
  • Serve as creative lead, directing all phases of creative work from concept through production
  • Play a lead role in new business strategies and business development efforts
  • Collaborate with Account Strategists on research, campaign creation, and optimization
  • Translate strategic recommendations concerning digital experiences into actionable items
  • Managing production deadlines of various project deliverables from the design phase through production.
  • Manage fulfillment of special requests related to graphic design services on an as assigned/as needed basis.
  • Operate as a creative, self-motivated team player willing to take the lead and develop forward-thinking solutions when required.
  • Utilize strong presentation skills when needed to present in small or large group settings, including to our clients, agency staff or other external audiences
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge of what goes into successful marketing campaigns and brand development
  • Experience managing creative development with proven mentoring, supervisory and team-building skills
  • Any website building/maintenance experience on HubSpot CMS, with HTML, react and CSS expertise is a major plus.
  • Must have a strong style and voice in order to execute, lead or develop a wide range of creative concepts and compelling content.
  • Must initiate and build relationships both internally and externally with minimal supervision/direction from management.
  • Direct experience with lead generation marketing strategy creation and execution for clients in a variety of industries
  • Proven experience working with brands in various industries a plus.
  • Experience in design for high-end websites in a variety of industries, with e-commerce design experience = serious bonus points
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Knowledge and experience with figma and understand how to design, layout and build prototypes
  • Knowledge of following would be a strong advantage: video editing (any software) and animation
  • Superior visual literacy and expert understanding of design principles, illustration, and photography.
  • Ability to design and communicate clearly for a variety of media, and capacity to learn them quickly.
  • Must be a creative, self-motivated team player willing to take the lead to develop forward-thinking solutions and mentor others along the way.
  • 5+ years experience in a creative leadership role (at least 3+ years digital, social or ad agency experience)
  • Excellent social media engagement, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work remotely with a professional work space during standard business hours
