DescriptionOur customer maintains a highly demanding mission and requires our support to provide expert technical and professional management support to the commands enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. The Network Operations Technician will support a program that provides sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense IP networks.This position will report directly to the Network Operations Lead.Location: On site, Colorado Springs, COHourly Pay: $39.65 - $45.50/hourWhat will you do in this role?Demonstrate self motivation and drive to seek solutions for resolving monitoring errors, using research and documentationTroubleshoot circuits using router commands, loops, alarms and errors, and other troubleshooting technologies and techniquesUtilize network monitoring tools to monitor, track and resolve issues. Escalate issues, when necessaryCreate and update trouble ticketsTroubleshoot networking technologies on a live, global networkThese are the required qualifications:High school diploma and 5-7 years of experienceMust have current Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearanceMust have DoD-8570 IAT Level II baseline certification at start date (Security+ce or equivalent)Must hold CCNA or JNCIA to start, or hold CCNA and be willing to obtain JNCIA within 60 daysExperience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance managementExpertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical SwitchingGeneral understanding of network topologies, both transport and IPThese are preferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree in associated fieldDoD-8570 IAT III CertificationITIL Foundations CertificationExperience with Circuit ManagementExcellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skillsAbility to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation effortsFamiliarity with NORAD/USNORTHCOM missions and DOD regulations and directivesN2NOMSOriginal Posting Date: 2024-05-09While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range -The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
