The Land Development Staff or Project Engineer will use their strong technical expertise for site planning, utility design, grading design, drainage analysis and various design calculations for Master Planned Communities and Single Family Residential Subdivisions. They will manage several projects and shall be accountable for the management/delivery of assigned projects, technical quality, profitability, schedule, project staff coordination, client communications, scoping and negotiating scopes and fees, and client follow-up.Location: North AustinWhat will you be doing?
  • Uses professional judgment to independently complete engineering design tasks within federal, state, and local established criteria.
  • Lead the design of site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities.
  • Prepares submittals to State, Municipal, and other agencies.
  • Work with the Project Manager to assign and manage tasks and schedules for Staff Engineers and Design Technicians.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members.
  • Participate and provide input in the preparation of engineering services proposals, including the calculation/estimation of time schedules and costs of the proposed work.
  • Signs and seals engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company.
  • Independently communicates on technical matters with the client.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in a relevant discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • The ability to plan and lead the preparation of contract documents for Land Development projects.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
