- Conducting and managing forensic accounting consulting engagements which may consist of economic damages analyses, business interruption insurance claims, fraud investigations, fraud risk assessments, or financial dispute resolution, often for litigation purposes.
- Managing various aspects of an engagement, including planning, delegation, client communication, and reporting.
- Reviewing and interpreting various financial documents and underlying supporting records as well as industry and market data.
- Analyzing data and summarizing results of engagement tasks.
- Conveying findings in an understandable forensic accounting report.
- Meeting internal and external deadlines and ensuring accuracy of assigned projects.
- Maintaining compliance with project budgets.
- Providing expert witness testimony in court when needed.
- Managing Firm risk on projects and proposals.
- Marketing forensic accounting services through proactively seeking current and new referral sources, presenting, writing articles and other publications.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships.
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Forensic Accounting, Economics or a related field required.
- You have 5+ years of forensic accounting experience.
- You hold a CPA, CFF, CFE, CFI, CVA or other similar professional designation.
- You have extensive knowledge of forensic accounting methodologies.
- You have strong and effective written and oral communication skills.
- You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by defining tasks and setting priorities.
- You can establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- You are proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
